Stearawirt's Kocherei

We use fresh herbs, salads and vegetables from our own garden in our kitchen with a keen sense for the real thing. And, of course, wild herbs and plants directly from the surrounding nature. We mainly cook with seasonal and regional products. Whenever possible from local farmers. The eggs come from our own farm supplier.

The most valuable treasures can be found in nature. We are convinced of this. That’s why we pamper our guests with the power of herbs. Freshly picked in summer. From our own farm garden. For unforgettable vacation enjoyment.

Your host Guntram will cook for you in person. He is a passionate chef and head chef at Stearawirt’s Kocherei. He attaches great importance to regional, seasonal products. Always freshly prepared. From early to late.
His colorful dishes with local wild and garden herbs not only taste incredibly delicious. They will also give you plenty of energy and strength for your next vacation experience. Perhaps you would also like to enjoy a cozy fondue evening in our farmhouse parlor. If you have any other special requests, we are open to (almost) every wish. Whether spare ribs, grilled or fried chicken with potato salad, a crispy knuckle of pork with sauerkraut and dumplings or a special game specialty, there is something for every palate at the Hauserei!

Hauserei gourmet half-board

The well-being of our guests is very important to us. And the saying “You are what you eat” is no coincidence.

That’s why you start the day with a sensational breakfast. No wishes remain unfulfilled here. From the homemade dips, creams, smoothies, fruit salad, local dairy products as well as sausage/ham and bread specialties from the region to our Hauserei eggs from our own farm. What more could you want?

Almost nothing

We will spoil you with our breakfast magic from 7:30 to 10:30 am.Take a tour and see what we have prepared for you: Healthy, delicious drinks and smoothies, porridge, yoghurt muesli, spelt porridge, semolina, curd cheese mousse… all deliciously refined, fresh waffles, cakes, plaited bread, nut strudel – always something different so that it doesn’t get boring. Delicious fresh, crispy, fragrant bread from our neighbor, the Dengel bakery. Wonderful TEEBAR – with teas and infusions from Sonnentor, self-collected herbs from our garden and mountain meadows; energizing ginger water and much more. Delicious jams that flatter your palate, partly homemade, the delicious mountain meadow honey is also waiting for you. Butter, yogurt, cheese from the Sojer cheese dairy and a very special butter – directly from the Krabachalpe / Afrahaisle. Healthy fruit and fruit salad, herbs, spreads, grains and muesli round off your breakfast and get you ready for the day. We are happy to prepare fresh eggs from our hens in different variations for you. Scrambled eggs pure or with ham, bacon or vegetables, bacon with egg, boiled egg, and of course tasty sausages, bacon and ham and much more await you.A special highlight is when we put the hay sausages from the highland cattle from Grünau on the buffet for you, the smell is wonderful.Our breakfast buffet offers a variety of fresh and healthy options that will tantalize your taste buds.Let us surprise you, we are always coming up with new creations.

In winter, after skiing from 3:30 p.m., a tasty snack or soup awaits you in our lounge – and of course a small sweet treat with a cup of tea or coffee is a must! (Only when booking the gourmet half-board. For room breakfast we charge a surcharge of € 10.- per person)
In the evening you can enjoy our 5-course menu. Starting with our delicious salad buffet and fine soups, with an intermediate course in between, through to the three main courses to choose from (one of which is veggie) Of course, we also serve a few alternatives – just in case you don’t find the right one for you. A dessert at the end – that’s a must! And so that the stomach can close, there’s cheese from the region, that goes without saying. Because with us, good things are so close…..

Senza Stubå

A piece of history and tradition lives on

Sunawirt’s Senza was the former occupant of the small farmhouse that stood on this site until 2020. She was a very frugal woman who had to cut corners to make ends meet. Today, she would be considered very sustainable.
For example, she would pick up discarded cigarette butts to stuff her pipe.
Or when the haymaking was in full swing in summer, she would pick up the leftover hay on the field paths with a small cart to get some extra hay for her goats for the winter.
This small farmhouse had a beautiful, cozy Lechtal farmhouse parlor dating back to 1843. Of course, it’s far too good for us to use them as firewood. That’s why we decided to bring this little room in the Hauserei back to life. Guntram Sr. and Jr. carefully removed the parlor, labeled it and drew it on a plan so that we could then reinstall it true to the original. This was then painstakingly reinstalled in December 22 by Guntram Sr. and our caretaker/friend and cousin Florian. A piece of history and tradition can now live on in a new home. And there’s probably a touch of Senza too….

Here you can sit comfortably with friends, drink, snack and feast. Whatever you fancy – you’ve come to the right place!
