Family-run host tradition

The Hauser family is the 4th generation to run the Stern. Since its foundation in the middle of the 18th century, “Der Stern” has been owned by the Hauser family.
Run as a farm inn by Guntram Hauser I until 1960, his son Guntram Hauser II took over the business. Not an easy undertaking at the age of 20, especially as tourism in the Lech Valley was still in its infancy.

At the beginning of the 1980s, tourism had also arrived in the Lechtal in winter with the Warth-Schröcken ski area, and the first major renovation of the Stern could be tackled. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the landlords Guntram and Gabriele Hauser, he a carpenter and woodworm with heart and soul, she the girl for everything, the house has developed into one of the best addresses in the Lechtal.

In 2004 we, Guntram Hauser III and his family, took over the Stern. We are always full of zest for action and have expanded the house again and again in the meantime.
From 2015-2017,  Guntram III completed the entrepreneurial academy  and has been able to call himself a hotelier ever since. This academy took him through many interesting hotels throughout Austria and South Tyrol for two years. The idea soon arose that the star needed to develop further in order to remain fit for the future. Tanja and Guntram spent countless hours pondering the future of the star. Until they finally dared to take the step with various consultants, but above all with their own ambition to create something very special: The new first herbal design hotel in the Lechtal – Die Hauserei. It was to be a hotel that – like the star – cannot really be compared in the Lech Valley and the surrounding area. And that’s exactly what it turned out to be – rustic. Casual. hauserei.at
