The Arlberg is known worldwide and is one of the best winter sports destinations. 85 slopes with a total of 300 kilometers of pistes await you. Away from the groomed slopes, untouched slopes and fantastic deep-snow descents await you. A dream for all freeriders. Experienced guides are available to introduce beginners to the fascination of freeriding. The Arlberg is also the only region in Austria where you have the opportunity to go heliskiing. A very special thrill for all adrenaline junkies!
To make your stay particularly uncomplicated, ski passes can also be purchased directly at the hotel. The ski room with ski boot dryer provides additional comfort.
Cross-country skiing in a winter paradise
For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, Steeg is a good starting point for all cross-country skiing fans. No matter whether you prefer classic or skating style.
There is something to suit every taste here. Glide through the winter landscape on the cross-country ski trails and enjoy the tranquillity of nature. One of the many cross-country ski trails starts just 100m from the Hauserei. If you don’t have your own cross-country skis, you can hire some directly in the village. Here you also have the option of booking a state-certified cross-country skiing instructor.
Winter hiking – Feel the magic of winter
Hiking enthusiasts get their money’s worth in the wintry Lech Valley: there are around 35 winter hiking routes that are 130 kilometers long in total. The hiking trails are perfectly cleared throughout the winter and if you want to warm up or fortify yourself, there are nine different huts to stop off at. Away from the groomed hiking trails, the region is wonderful to explore on snowshoes. These can be borrowed directly from the Hauserei.
Whizzing down the mountain – tobogganing in the Lech Valley
After a pleasant winter hike, you don’t always have to make your way back on foot. If you prefer a faster pace, you can hire a toboggan at the hotel and whizz down the mountain.
